Goatonapole: A New Consciousness
or Philosophy of Evil!
A Review By Arthur Palmer

Recently I was introduced to a new philosophy entitled "Goatonapole." At first the writings seemed harmless, linking the Goat on a pole to singular truths, consciousness, and basically the balance of life itself. The premise of this combination of philosophy and spiritual insight of humanity searching for a harmonious goal seemed to be well intent until certain key words emerged from the text that I found alarming and disturbing. Upon re-reading this text with this new awareness, I perceived that this text may be the cover for something so dark and evil that all mankind must lie shaking at its feet for fear of losing its very soul and becoming a godless lump of mud much as we were in the very beginning of time!

Goatonapole speaks of truths, inner balance, and conscious experience as if surrounded by a Zen like feeling of place and tranquility until we see certain words emerge from the text. Goat-mind and Goat-head leave nothing to the imagination as to what they might mean. These words are as blatant and shocking as if Satan himself had spray painted them on the side of a building in your neighborhood.

We are then led to believe that the Pakistani man is forcing and humiliating the poor beast to stand on the pole for other people's entertainment. Yet when we see this man's face and posture while he holds the pole, we realize that the goat is completely dominant over him.

When we notice the horns, cloven hooves, and the disturbing smirk on the goat's face we realize that this is in fact no goat at all, instead it is all of the evil and darkness in the world, balancing over our heads and wanting to strike us down. There is no goat-dilemma that I foresee in this philosophy. Only the dilemma of sheep being led to slaughter by what would innocently seem to be a goat. the balance mentioned within the writings are its only truth; as this is an awareness of the balance of the constant struggle between the effects of good and evil upon mankind, constantly struggling for control of us. The only truth I see here is the truth that innocent souls will burn for eternity for being misled and tricked into the Goatonapole philosophy.

Just a goat on a pole? I think not!!
